B.A.D – Battle Against Dementia

B.A.D Battle Against Dementia Foundation was founded in 2018 and aims to help change and support the lives of people and families directly affected by Dementia. One in three people will be effected with dementia. However Battle Against Dementia want to provide support not just to those with dementia but also their family members. Alan’s role in Scotland to help B.A.D is to raise awareness, help in assisting at fundraising events, and host the B.A.D Annual Golf Day and is very proud to be associated with the charity.

“I lost my dad to Alzheimer’s in January 2024 and in November 2025 mum was admitted to a 24 hour care home with Dementia. It’s a horrible heart-breaking and cruel illness to know there is no cure and things are only go from bad to worse. The initial memory loss experienced by Dementia and Alzheimer’s sufferers is just the beginning of the journey ahead and if I can help play a small part to help fight this disease, it would give me huge satisfaction”,

Alan commented.
